"Do you have to be rich and famous to make a difference?" is a poignant question Andy Roda poses in his latest self-penned and produced release titled "Superstar". It's the fifth single released through POGI Entertainment the artist's own label, who has come a long way since his debut album "DISH" on Virgin Records in 1999. Added to writing, producing, and mixing his own records, the single marks Andy Roda's first effort as a video director. The self proclaimed tech nerd and VFX enthusiast showcases his all-round skills, and what a curious mind can accomplish in 70 days with Youtube tutorials, a Macbook Pro and After Effects.

Here's a story about a boy who had a dream
Of all the fellows I met the cat really had the cream
He packed his bags, and left his home somewhere in Tennessee
Soon he found himself in the office of the head of the company

(The Executive)
"The dream the life the fantasy" he said "can all be yours"
"Not much in reciprocity just sing till you get hoarse
When you feel you are ready we'll throw a party when you sign
There is no need for you to wait", the executive's favorite line

(Narrator)
You could be a superstar
Everybody's gonna know just who you are
You will shine so bright on the Boulevard
Life will never be the same
But first you gotta sign your name

(Narrator)
He called his Mama and said "I finally got a deal!"
"A million dollars is yours" the suit he said "for real!"
But little did he know the company's fortune had run dry
He was left with boucin' cheques not even worth a single dime

It was back to the restaurant waiting for fate to turn
When asked he put up a front to hide that he got burned
But somehow he knew the situation wouldn't last
All he heard were the words of the excecutive from the past

Do you really know the essence of your dream?
Have you been disillusioned by TV?
Do you really believe that you get what you see on BET and MTV?

"A million dollars, I think the media plays a crucial role, Do you have to be rich and famous to make a difference?"

Now let me tell ya just how the little story ends
A year or two went by till I saw his face again
From LA to DK New York and the Philippines
In the end it was just as the executive had foreseen...
